Frequently Asked Questions

General Information

What is valet trash service?

Valet trash is a premium door-to-door waste collection service. Instead of carrying your garbage to a distant dumpster or compactor, you simply place your bagged and tied trash in the provided container outside your doorstep during designated hours, and our professional valets handle the rest.

Do I have to use the service?

While participation is optional, the service fee is typically a community-wide amenity included in your lease agreement. We highly recommend using it to take advantage of the convenience and keep the property clean.

What are the benefits for residents?

Convenience: No more hauling heavy bags down stairs or across parking lots.

Safety: Eliminates the need for late-night trips to dark, isolated dumpster areas.

Cleanliness: Reduces litter and helps prevent pest issues around the community.

 Schedule & Timing

When should I put my trash out?

Trash should be placed outside your door in the provided container between 6:00 PM and 8:00 PM on service nights.

What days do you collect?

Our standard service runs Sunday through Thursday. There is no collection on Friday or Saturday nights.

When should I bring my container back inside?

To keep the hallways looking neat for guests and leasing tours, please bring your container back inside your unit by 9:00 AM the following morning.

Preparation & Guidelines

Do I need to use specific bags?

Yes, all trash must be bagged and securely tied. We cannot pick up loose trash or grocery-store-style bags that are not tied. This prevents leaks and ensures the safety of our valets.

Is there a weight limit?

Yes. To ensure the safety of our staff and prevent bag breakage, please keep each bag under 25 lbs. If you have heavy items, please split them into two bags.

How do I handle cardboard boxes?

Boxes must be flattened and bundled. You can lean up to [Insert Number, e.g., 3] flattened boxes behind your trash container. Please do not leave large, un-collapsed boxes, as they will not fit in our collection equipment.

Can I leave extra bags outside the bin?

All trash bags should ideally fit inside the provided container. If you have an extra bag, place it on top of the first bag inside the bin with the lid open. Bags left directly on the floor may result in a "missed pick-up" to prevent floor stains and pests.

Prohibited Items

What items are NOT accepted?

For safety and environmental reasons, we cannot collect the following:

Hazardous Waste: Paint, chemicals, motor oil, or car batteries.

Sharp Objects: Broken glass or needles (unless properly contained in a puncture-proof "sharps" container).

Bulky Items: Furniture, mattresses, or large appliances.

Construction Debris: Stones, bricks, or wood scraps.

Pet Waste: Must be double-bagged if included with household trash.
